Paradiddle Tree Exercise

The paradiddle tree exercise is an interesting and fun exercise. Here's the exercise in English:

  1. 4 Paradiddles
  2. 4 Double Paradiddles
  3. 4 Triple Paradiddles
  4. 4 Paradiddlediddles

Because it's main purpose is to build chops, most drummers do not count this exercise. However, counting this exercise is an important aspect of learning how to apply paradiddles to your playing. Included below is the musical notation. Practice counting this exercise as 1e&a, 2e&a, etc.
