Double Bass: 32nd Notes as Ruffs

With double bass, it's pretty easy to simulate a ruff on the drum set with the bass performing two 32nd notes leading to a snare or tom or cymbal.

Exercise 1

This rhythm and variations based on it utilizes double bass as an augmentation without sounding like a pack of wild horses. This particular rhythm applies a rudimental ruff utilizing the bass drum and snare.
